Played with YouTube waaaay too long this sunny afternoon. I thought this was interesting, and I'm not a big sports fan.

I don't have co-workers and I don't need to discuss projects without leaving my desk, but my granddaughter was on Facebook this afternoon when I logged into meebo! She works in a University Library in New Orleans. We chatted off and on for an hour or so. I hadn't imagined that I would find anyone to chat with; how neat! I didn't know 23Things could be so much fun. 

I discovered I have been doing cloud computing for years! I do web pages on a couple of different platforms, which are 'somewhere.' The calendar programs appeared to be the most logical new application for me. I signed up for 30 boxes and am learning how it works. I have invited my daughter to join me to coordinate schedules. 

I didn't think microblogging was for me, but when I saw the lists of people or groups that could be followed I was impressed! I found several groups and people that I want to follow. I am following PBS because I watch Public TV often, 23thingsks, National Geographic, and several charities that I am interested in. I plan to also include several listed in the comment area of the lesson. I like being able to learn about new developments and different thoughts on various topics.

bookmarking

I read this weeks lesson and planned just to look at the various site. When I saw the things that the bookmarking sites could do, I was impressed. I signed up for Delicious and bookmarked a few sites. If we traveled a lot or if I belonged to groups that were internet savvy, I can see great uses. I will ask on the sewing list that I belong to if any of them belong to Delicious.
